What is PIAI (Principal Investigator Award Information)?
How is training obtained for a Principal Investigator and Staff?
The Research Foundation has created the Principal Investigator Award Information Interface (PIAI), a web based inquiry system created for easy and timely access to data from the RF business system in a grant-centric format. This preferred tool is responsive to the needs of principal investigators and the departmental administrative staff who support them. This system provides user friendly access to a wide range of administrative and financial information necessary for the effective management of research awards and projects.
Principal Investigators and their Staffs can arrange for training by contacting Marie Bilbao at 2-1953 or Marie.Bilbao@Stonybrook.edu
In order to obtain security access to the Research Foundation Business System, please click to download the appropriate user form For Administrative Offices or For Academic Departments. Once completed and signed by the Principal Investigator(s), fax it to our Campus Security Administrator, Tony DeVietro at 2-5704. Once you have been granted access and given a password you'll be ready to explore this user friendly interface to the Oracle system. If you have any security questions, you can reach Tony by phone at 2-9840 or via email adevietro@notes.cc.sunysb.edu
