Dry heat Hot Bead Sterilizer Rapid means to re-sterilize instruments
    Contact time < 10 secs
    Preferable to liquid disinfectants
    Instruments must be clean prior to use
    Instruments must be cooled before   contacting tissue
     
Chlorine Chlorox™ (sodium hypochlorite) Corrosive
  Clidox™ (chlorine dioxide) Presence of organic matter reduces   activity
    Chlorine dioxide must be fresh (<14 days)
    Kills vegetative organisms within 3   minutes
    Instrument must be rinsed with sterile or   saline water
       prior to tissue contact
     
Chlorhexidine Nolvasan™ Presence of blood does not interfer with   activity
  Hibiclens™ Rapidly bactericidal and persistent
    Effective against many viruses
    Instrument must be rinsed with sterile   water or saline
